The history of nutritional intervention goes back decades of generations where it was common place to wonder through the hillside of one’s own backyard and return with a satchel full of herbs. Those herbs would then be used to create a naturopathic remedy to treat the entire family and all their ailments.
Unfortunately, we live in a time where the influence of television and the barrage of commercials that encourage us to choose prescription medications have made the naturopathic way now seem like the second and less popular choice. However, there is a clear and distinct movement in our country that is shifting away from prescription medications as a first option, and more towards nutritional supports to address the various health concerns we all share.
It must be stated that there is absolutely a point in any person’s life where they may need a prescription drug to support a failing body, but it should be more natural to find the nutritional deficit to a problem than to merely treat the symptoms.
Dr. Schroter has all the necessary nutritional and homeopathic supplements to address and support all the categories described under the Metabolic Assessment Form as well as allergies, colds, flu, fungal, chemical, bacterial, viral and parasitic infections.
• If a person has acid reflux, it is most often caused by a deficiency of HCl (hydrochloric acid). With low acid levels, the food is not pushed through to the small intestine and so the acid and food reflux. So rather than quench the diminished acid with antacids, Dr.Schroter would recommend the appropriate supplement which would add acid and initiate normal digestion.
• If a person has an under-functioning thyroid, it may be due to an under-functioning pituitary. An under-functioning pituitary may be due to a lack of dopamine or serotonin in the brain. So it is possible that a person may need nutritional domapine support to regulate thyroid function!
Dr. Schroter does not however, claim to treat or cure any disease or illness. He will not hesitate to refer a patient out to their medical doctor if the circumstances warrant. He believes in appropriate medical interventions when necessary.
